Dr. Jack Adkins D.V.M., Diplomate A.B.V.P.
Dr. Adkins received his undergraduate degree in Animal
Science from the University of Nebraska and his doctorate
degree in veterinary medicine from Kansas State University.
He practiced in New York City for two years, completing an
internship at the Animal Medical Center, Caspary Research
Institute. He has been the co-owner of the Mesa
Veterinary Hospital, Sun Lakes Animal Clinic and Adobe
Animal Hospital in Scottsdale. He established Brown
Road Animal Clinic in 1987.
Dr. Adkins has served the veterinary community as an Area
Director for the American Animal Hospital Association, Vice
President of the State Veterinary Medical Association, and
President of the Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice.
He became a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary
Practitioners in 1996 and has been recertified via a peer
review process. He has conducted numerous first-aid
classes and has given lectures at the state and national
veterinary meetings on tick borne diseases, specifically
Ehrlichiosis (Tick Fever).
In his spare time away from the practice, Dr. Adkins has
participated in multiple 10Ks, marathons, and triathlons, as
well as the Tour de Tucson and Tour de Phoenix bike rides.
